Kanoo IT awarded by Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs

Kanoo Information Technology (Kanoo IT), Bahrain’s leading Information Technology service company, has recently received an award from the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs for developing the electronic management system of Quran centers under the theme “Ayat”.

President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa, alongside the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa and Capital Governor, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa handed over the award to Kanoo Information Technology during the 18th Bahrain Grand Holy Quran Recitation and Explanation Contest which took place at Ahmed Al Fateh Islamic Centre on Sunday 21st of July 2013.

This Award has been presented to Kanoo Information Technology (Kanoo IT) in recognition to their vital efforts spent over a year with more than 6 resources engaged during the different stages of the Project to assure the Quality of deliverables on a timely manner.


Ministry of Justice & Islamic Affairs along with Kanoo Information Technology built a Roadmap for “Ayat” and more Enhancements are expected to come in the Future to maximize the benefits of the System to its beneficiaries

On this occasion, Mr. Waleed Kanoo, General Manager of Kanoo IT commented: “We are honored to receive this award from the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs and to be part of this great project which will help serve the Holy Quran.” Asst.GM Ramgopal Menon Added after collecting the award: “We are always keen on bringing in the latest technologies and providing unique applications to support our clients diversified service needs at affordable costs and with real-time transparency.”

The electronic management system of Quranic centers under the theme, “Ayat” is an integrated electronic system for managing the Quran centers and workshops, working on automating current work procedures and the provision of services electronically via the Internet, by simplifying the procedures and standards; in a safe environment assuring the privacy for the system user.

The system will offer great benefits to the Holy Quran Affairs Directorate, the 225 Quran centers, in addition to the 23000 students, and the 2000 participants in the Quran recitation competitions.  This system will help all the beneficiaries to develop their services, facilitate the communication process, simplifying the procedures and increasing efficiency, reducing paperwork, facilitating the follow-up procedures without any restrictions, help saving the information and data in an advanced electronic archive, reducing administrative costs, and providing a safe environment for electronic communications.
